Join Us in Empowering Colorado Youths for Climate Action!
As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the incredible impact our Youth Climate Action programs have had—thanks to your generous support. These programs empower young leaders, providing them with the tools and knowledge to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our time: climate change. We invite you to invest in the next generation of climate advocates and change-makers by supporting our Youth Climate Action programs in the coming year.
Meet Satchit: A Youth Leader Creating Real Change
Sachit, a 15-year-old high school student, joined our Youth Climate Action Programming Committee earlier this year. Passionate about the environment but unsure how to channel his energy, Sachit felt overwhelmed by the scale of the climate crisis. Sachit participated in one of our events last year and took a bold step to help coordinate our current events that are youth-developed and youth led. He has engaged scores of students in climate literacy training and provided them with an outlet to harness their power in the fight against climate change.
“The program gave me the confidence to take action, even when it felt like the problem was too big. I’ve learned that every small effort adds up, and together we can make a huge impact,” says Sachit.
Your Gift Matters
Stories like Sachit’s are just the beginning. With your help, we can expand our Youth Climate Action programs to reach even more young leaders like him—giving them the skills and support they need to tackle climate issues head-on. Your year-end gift will:
- Engage 500 students in Climate Literacy training.
- Fund hands-on climate projects led by youth in their local communities.
- Support leadership training workshops that equip youth with the tools to influence policy and mobilize change.
Join Us in Building a Brighter Future
As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to expand our reach and continue empowering the next generation of climate champions. But we can’t do it without you. Your donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference in the fight for a sustainable future.
Will you help us empower more young leaders like Sachit? Together, we can ensure that today’s youth have the resources and knowledge to create a future where both people and the planet thrive.
Donate Now to invest in a sustainable future powered by the vision, energy, and passion of our youth.
Thank you for standing with us in this critical work.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Many companies match donations made by their employees to registered nonprofit organizations. We encourage you to inquire from your company if they might be able to match your donation this year. The impact of your gift to the Sustainable Living Association could potentially be doubled and sometimes even tripled!

Donor-Advised Funds
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are very effective charitable giving vehicles whereby donors set aside money to be granted to charitable organizations. You can support the Sustainable Living Association through a DAF grant. When processing a DAF grant through a charitable giving account, search for Sustainable Living Association by tax ID number 48-1302998.
Retirement Plans and IRAs
A retirement plan, such as an IRA, can be a smart source for charitable giving. If you are 70½ years or older, an IRA charitable rollover gift allows you to direct up to $100,000 tax-free to the Sustainable Living Association each year from your traditional IRA, which satisfies your required minimum distribution and reduces your taxable income. Contact your IRA custodian to request a direct distribution to the Sustainable Living Association. Married taxpayers who meet QCD requirements and file joint returns can donate $100,000 from each spouse’s IRA, for a total of $200,000 annually.
